Perry JFS is committed to accuracy, integrity, and accountability.

All reports of fraud will be investigated and appropriate action will be taken.

Individuals found to be violating the rules established for use of public benefits will be prosecuted and charged with ORC Section 2921.13 (Falsification M-1) or ORC Section 2913.46 (Illegal Use of Food Stamps).

Consequence of Fraud
Food Stamps (SNAP)
1st offense: 12 month disqualification of the individual
2nd offense: 24 month disqualification of the individual
3rd offense: lifetime disqualification of the individual
Note: Since Food Assistance is a federal program the IPV follows the
individual throughout the 50 states and US territories.
OWF
Household is disqualified until the entire amount of benefits are
repaid
Day Care
Household is disqualified until the entire amount of benefits are
repaid Provider certification is revoked and removed from program,
county decision if allowed to return after money is repaid.
Medical
Benefits must be repaid
WIA
Benefits must be repaid and removed from program
PRC
Benefits must be repaid and prohibited from receiving PRC in the
future, and includes any prior IPV which exist in any other JFS
program.
This list is a basic run down of the actions that JFS can take against clients violating the use of benefits. These consequences are in addition to any sentences imposed by the court system such as jail time, fines, community service, and/or restitution.
